BCC TEAM TOP WA PUBLIC SCHOOL AT 2017 TITRATION STAKES NATIONAL FINAL

A team of Year 12 girls from Belmont City College have excelled at the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) Titration Stakes National Final. The competition asks students to use their Chemistry knowledge and practical skills to determine the concentration of a chemical solution with the highest degree of accuracy.
Hala, Eman and Li, all in Year 12, placed fourth in the National Final of the competition, and were the top WA Public School to place.
Competing students from BCC and staff have worked extremely hard preparing for the competition this year, with Mr Hosany, Mr Hearn, Mr Bromley and the student teams regularly staying after school to prepare for the competition. Our laboratory technicians also worked tirelessly to ensure the equipment used was clean and completely free from contamination so that results were as accurate as possible.
Belmont City College thanks the Royal Australian Chemistry Institute (RACI) for the opportunity for our students to hone their practical chemistry skills and participate in this prestigious competition.
