Year 10 Career Insights Day

On Thursday 3rd June, Year 10 students participated in a Career Insights Day and Mini Expo designed to get our students “to look to the future”, and open their minds to the career opportunities available and get them thinking about what they need to do to get there. The day is an important part of our Year 10 career education focus and provided students with a range of useful career-related information ahead of their subject selection for senior school scheduled to take place next term.

The day comprised of South Metropolitan TAFE, Universities and industry representatives who spoke of their career journeys and the training courses they have on offer for 2022. Special guest speakers included Kai Lovel, a young entrepreneur and curiosity advocate; Chris Robinson from The West Australian; and two past students all engaged our Year 10’s with impressive presentations promoting positive strategies on how to keep moving forward to achieve your career goal.

All Year 10, 11 and 12 students had access to over 16 expo displays and were able to discover a range of information, discuss their options and find answers to questions related to their future work.
