πŸ§ͺπŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬CHEMISTRY CHAMPIONS!πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬πŸ§ͺ
This term, Belmont City College participated in the WA RACI Titration Competition. Over 300 students participated across metropolitan, regional and remote WA.
A titration is a chemical experiment where the aim is to determine, by chemical analysis, the precise amount of a substance of known composition but unknown quantity in a given sample. Scoring is based on the difference between the result calculated by the student and the correct result. Success requires skill, attention to detail and, sometimes, careful reasoning and problem-solving under pressure.
Individually, our students earned 6 High Distinctions, 2 Distinctions & 1 Competent. In their teams, our students were ranked as follows:

Team 1 (Kayyisah, Zunairah, Thuy-An): Equal (Tied) 1st Place in WA πŸ₯‡
Team 2 (Sonam, Ayala, Arianne): 4th Place in WA.
Team 3 (Shinji, Rizhaella, Jamie): 13th Place in WA.

Belmont City College put on a rousing display of girl-power, with our first all-female entrance into the competition. Historically, our girls have performed very well in this competition, and 2026 has proved no exception, continuing this time-honoured titration tradition.
We are incredibly proud of the perseverance, attention to detail, and committed work ethic displayed by these students. Their efforts reflect genuine pride in their learning and are a credit to both themselves and the school. Congratulations!Image attachmentImage attachment+3Image attachment
