BCC Community Partnership ‘Thank You’ Morning Tea

Belmont City College played host to our community volunteers at the held in our Hospitality Trade Training on Thursday 25th October. The event was catered for and served by students enrolled in the College’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) Hospitality program.

Approximately 90 guests enjoyed an art display and were entertained by a talented Year 10 instrumental music ensemble. Special guest – Year 12 Leaver, Kaelan Corpus, winner of the 2018 BHP Trainee of the Year and Belmont City College VET Dux for 2018, delivered a poignant speech regarding his work experience journey, highlighting the importance of how community support in school programs such as Mock Interviews and Workplace Learning, aided his success.

The guest list included Workplace Learning host employers, various Registered Training Organisation representatives, local primary schools, College Board members, City of Belmont representatives, Rotary Club members, volunteer tutors and coordinators of numerous other College program initiatives.
